Moving!
Hey all--Just a quick little update on the DR! (and probably nothing too deep).
Wow--I am two days away from being airborne and on my way to the DR! This past week has been simultaneously dragging and racing. I have been working on final details of moving (packing, trying to fit my life into a few suitcases) and fitting in friend time with all of my friends. Thank you to everyone for kidnapping me and throwing me surprise go-away parties--it definitely showed me just how much I am loved and appreciated and I will miss you all!!!!!!!
This whole moving thing has been super emotional--selling my first house, feeling homeless (what do you put for a permanent address when you have none?!?), wanting to spend all of my time with my friends and family, trying to work and focus on clients. I've worked on dealing with issues like abandonment (feeling like I'm abandoning friends), being dependent on others (financially and to store my stuff). It's definitely been a roller-coaster of emotions and I'm so thankful to my friends who have stood by and listened to me at all hours of the day and night (literally) as I've wrestled with preparing to move. Fortunately I am remaining grounded in the fact that I am called to do this by God and to "hold fast" to that truth
Final note--If you want to send me mail (letters or packages) here is the address to mail to:
